My Story
My psychology degree got me to where I am today. With the intention to find a career in clinical psychology, my volunteer experience at Grand River Hospital drove me to technology. The annual Med Tech Day at Grand River was my first exposure to the tech industry and I began my journey through sales.
After getting a job and taking the Communitech Pipeline Tech Sales Apprenticeship, I built a Sales Playbook for my employer. I had to understand the solution I was selling in order to properly write the playbook and this opened my eyes to the disconnect between sales and development. With this research, I proposed new movements to understand the customers needs better and moved forward with new approaches.
Helping with internal operations sparked my interest in project management and customer success. I've become passionate about digital marketing from working with the external marketing team and am always looking to learn more about e-commerce and new marketing strategies.
All of these elements drove me to DISC and is where I am today.
